10th ANNUAL STRIDE TO TURN THE TIDE
Spring is in the air, and all across Canada, grandmothers groups are walking in support of the grandmothers of Africa who walk with purpose every day — to attend far-away clinics and markets, to collect water and deliver grandchildren safely to school, to provide urgent home-based care, and to protest violations of their human rights.
Each year, for the past ten years, grandmothers and community members walk with purpose to raise funds and awareness for the grandmothers of Africa who are raising their grandchildren orphaned by AIDS, advocating for their rights, and turning the tide of HIV & AIDS in their communities.
Stride to Turn the Tide is a grandmother-led powerful act of solidarity.
