Welcome to my Cycle Tour page. I am excited to be riding in the 12th annual Victoria Grandmothers for Africa 275 km Cycle Tour from Campbell River to Victoria on September 7, 8, and 9. This is my fifth year participating in the ride. Our team of women, all over 55 years old, are cycling to raise money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation's Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. The Foundation started the Grandmothers Campaign in 2006 in response to the crisis facing African grandmothers caring for the millions of children left orphans by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Funds from the campaign go directly to grassroots community organizations in Africa working with grandmothers to fund basic needs such as food, housing, health care, schooling, transportation, etc. The Cycle Tour has raised almost $700,00.00 and the Campaign has raised over $27 million since it began. I'm asking you to consider sponsoring me in this effort to support African grandmothers. To make a donation please click on the Donate Now button above the thermometer. You will receive a tax receipt for any donation of $20.00 or more. Thank you for supporting African grandmothers.
